Dumbworld music videos featured on SacLights

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Our first two music videos (“Watch as I Dip” and “The Grind”) have been featured on the SacLights website (a local social networking site).  On the home page, under what’s new, click on the video tab.

Considering nothing like that has ever happened to me, this a good day.

On a related note, no matter how much work I put into a video or no matter how complicated the concept of the video, a lot of people tell me they like “Watch as I Dip” the best.  It’s funny how things work out that way.  I guess simpler can be better.  Or maybe the song is just the most catchy.  Oh, and Jay from Dumbworld did the beat.

Back then- mid 2006 we were going under the name Killin Em Production, but being the peace loving folks that we are, we switched it up.

MURS- the world's hardest working entertainer?

Friday, July 18th, 2008

The homie Corey (from Synthesis Magazine and Submerge Magazine fame) on his blog, What Up Though, linked to the new MURS electronic press kit (and he has proclaimed next week on his blog as MURS week).

For some shameless self promotion, after the EPK is a video I put together for Spyn Cycal from a Living Legends show (with interview footage with Aesop, Murs and Scarub).

Parachute Jumper lands in band

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Heard about this on the radio this morning.  A parachuter lands on top of a military band.  Hopefully nobody got hurt too badly.

One Day as a Lion

Friday, July 18th, 2008

I’m a big Rage Against the Machine Fan, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that Zack de la Rocha and Jon Theodore from Mars Volta formed One Day as a Lion.  They have an ep coming out on Jul 22nd.  Haven’t bought any music in awhile, so once I get some money I will cop it.
