Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I recently discovered ipsoSacto a Sacramento Blog that gathers a lot of Sacramento Blogs in one place (I didn’t even know there were that many – over 400 at this point-  and I spent a bit of time just clicking on the random blog button).

Dumbworld is under “City life in Sacramento”

Britney Spears to Appear as Lesbian Killer in Tarantino remake of Cult Film Faster Pussycat Kill Kill?

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I filed this under “cool shit” because anything having to do with Tarantino has to be cool, right?  Haven’t seen the flick– but I have definitely heard of it– and now I will have to check it out.

I’m calling BS on Britney getting the part though, but maybe, cuz who knows what is true these days. . .  here

Also, Fangoria talks a little about it here, and says that Eli Roth (Hostel) will appear in Tarantino’s WWII movie Inglorious Bastards.  Cool title.

King of Funk to Premiere at Sacramento Film and Music Festival as Part of 10X10 Challenge

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

As part of the 10X10 film challenge, we wrote, directed, edited and with the help of Chick Flick Productions produced a 10 minute short for the Sacramento Film and Music Festival.  The gist of the story is, it is the early 70′s and a man finds what you could call the magical ring of funk.  The ring brings him fame and fortune, but for the owner of the ring, beware.  The main characters name is Chucky Funk, and above is the album cover for his first record.

The film is showing Saturday August 16th at 7:30 pm at the Crest theatre in downtown Sacramento.  You can go here for more info on the festival.
