I’m intrigued.

Jamie Stuart does these shorts for Filmmaker Magazine which are pretty cool.  They are these strange mixes of fiction and nonfiction.  This one includes an interview with Steven Soderbergh.  Can’t think of anything else to say about them except watch this one.

The Sacramento Video Industry Professionals are having their final meeting of the year on October 29th (A Final Cut Pro Users Group).  Some info on the group:

This group is geared towards learning about Apple’s Final Cut Pro, Motion, Color, LiveType, DVD Studio Pro, Compressor, and Soundtrack Pro, but also embraces enhancing our knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production processes and equipment.

They usually have some pretty good presentations, and they give away door prizes (at the next meeting they are giving out Adobe CS4).  More info here.
