Troy Duffy, director of the original Boondock Saints, is back with the sequel (Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day) written by himself.  If you haven’t seen the documentary Overnight, about the meteoric rise (and fall) of Duffy, it is a reminder to not burn your bridges.  Check it out.

And somewhat related, I recently saw a demo of the new Adobe CS4, and Premiere Pro now has speech recognition technology which allows you to search footage by keyword:

Turn spoken dialogue into text-based, timecode-accurate, searchable metadata. Jump to a specific area of a shot by searching for keywords within the dialogue, and then use keywords to quickly locate and display what you’re looking for.
