Plug In for Professional Pan, Zoom and Slide Shows for Stills in Final Cut Pro

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

I had the opportunity to attend a Larry Jordan seminar last week, and Larry talked about a cool new plug in for Final Cut .  Geethree’s SlickFX Photomotion is a video generator plug-in that allows you to do smooth pans and zooms over stills without keyframes.  The coolest thing to me was the price (a $79 introductory price, which comes with Photomotion Producer, a slide show generator).

Final Cut Pro Templates

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

It looks like it is going to have to wait until I upgrade to Final Cut Studio 2 (Yes- it is time to finally step away from Final Cut Pro 5 and Motion 2), but I am definitely going to try out these Final Cut Pro (and Motion) templates

For the price, they seem like a steal.  I am curious to see if anybody else tried them out, and how they are working for you.

Free 50 Point Garbage Matte for Final Cut Pro

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Me and the homie Alex were talking about garbage mattes the other day, and he said something about the drawbacks of the 4 and 8 point garbage mattes in Final Cut Pro.  There is a 50 point garbage matte created by a guy named Tom Henderson, and it is available for free.  If you use it, let me know how it works out for you.
