One of Dumbworld’s favorite holidays has to be Cinco de Mayo. Not much compares to sitting on Ernesto’s patio with a pitcher of top-shelf margaritas. The Bee’s Bob Shallit has details on the city’s plans for a Cinco de Mayo celebration.
First it was a street closure for a New Year’s Eve ball drop in downtown Sacramento.
Last month, another street was blocked off for a St. Paddy’s Day party.
Next up: a Cinco de Mayo celebration that will shut down parts of two midtown blocks for an outdoor party.

I am an Access Sacramento alum (man that seems like a lifetime ago– your boy is getting long in the tooth), so I should point out that A Place Called Sacramento Film Festival is going down on October 5, 2008 at 1pm at the Crest Theatre. It is a unique film festival, and here is a write up on it from the Sacramento Bee.
