Me and the homie Alex were talking about garbage mattes the other day, and he said something about the drawbacks of the 4 and 8 point garbage mattes in Final Cut Pro. There is a 50 point garbage matte created by a guy named Tom Henderson, and it is available for free. If you use it, let me know how it works out for you.

I can’t believe that I have gone this long without having to make a DVD with a menu (what can I say- up until now– everything has pretty much been for the web), but I found myself needing to make a menu, and I am amazed how easy it is to make chapter markers in Final Cut Pro. So I thought I would share it. Creating DVD Chapter Markers in Final Cut Pro, via GeniusDV.

Boris FX is offering one free Glitter filter for use with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Motion, or Avid (generates glittering sparkles of pretty much any size- the filter includes controls for the brightness, scale, and color of the glitters as well as the number of rays that each glitter emits).
