Greetings to all-

I would like to introduce myself to all of those who dont yet know who i am or have

not yet felt my presence. My name is Handsome Dave. I am a Sacramento resident and have

spent most of my life here. Its a wonderful city when you know your way around and associate

with its good people.

Some of the things i will be talking about in my blogs are sports,(I am a Oakland Raider as

well as an A’s fan so if i seem bias toward them that you understand), Sacramento life(both

day and night), world events, music and basically anything that i think you may want/need to

know.

Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis said Wednesday they will request that Congress allocate $5 billion for a bailout of the adult entertainment industry.

Obviously this is just shameless self promotion on the parts of Larry Flynt and Co., but Dumbworld can appreciate a good publicity stunt as good as the next man. From CNN.

I am soooooooooo happy the elections are over. Saying that, regardless of your opinion about the election, we can all agree that we can learn a lot from watching others in action. The 60 Second Marketer has tips for you (and Sarah) on public relations, including:

Learn to Block and Bridge: The first thing most PR people teach their clients is how to block and bridge. When you get a question that you a) don’t want to answer or b) can’t answer, you block and bridge. The most common version of this is to say, “That’s a great question and one that we’re working on solving right now (the block), but we believe that most American’s are more concerned with the economy which is something we’re concerned about, too (the bridge).”

I can’t remember where I heard it before, but somebody (smarter than me) said, you are not supposed to answer the question they ask you but the question you wanted them to ask you.
