Dumbworld: A Sacramento Based Blog on Entertainment, Media and Art

The other day, I had the opportunity to attend the ”soft launch” of Sac Metro Edge at the Lounge on 20 in downtown Sacramento– and I am excited for the development and networking opportunities that Sac Metro Edge looks like it should provide.  Sac Metro Edge, is a program of the Sacramento Metro Chamber, and its mission is to attract and harness young leaders and professionals.  The full launch is in September.  Definitely worth getting involved in.

Above is one of them (starring Major League Baseball player Derrek Lee) — the password is “dumbworld”  The commercials are each one in a series, called “Capitol Proformance Allstars.”  Each one stars a different professional baseball player that trains with Capitol Proformance.  The baseball players are Derrek Lee, Nick Johnson, Brad Kilby, and Sean Shoffit.

A commercial we did for Capitol Proformance (a sports training company) in Sacramento.  It features professional baseball players Derrek Lee and Nick Johnson (among others).

I definitely need to work on improving the quality of my uploads for the web.  It looks great on the HD closed circuit TV’s for Metro Hub Network– where it shows on a loop in bars, restaurants, taxis, etc.– but not so hot on Youtube (I’ve heard that videos don’t look as good on Youtube anyways).  I have seen some “recipes” to make your Youtube videos look better– but I still am not happy with them.  Let me know if you have a recipe for Compressor that you are happy with.
