From Wired:
As in the original film, every Predator is a trophy hunter and an expert in stalking and killing its prey, but each monster has its own specialized skill. There’s a falconer Predator who has a little UAV that serves as its eyes in the sky, a dog handler Predator (we got to see production art of its dog, sort of a dinosaur-wolf hybrid) and a “Super Predator” the production team refers to as “Mr. Black.”
Rodriguez is a writer and producer on the project. A trailer was up but has been removed by 20th Century Fox. The movie comes out in July.

“If you lose your eye and have a hole in your head, then why not stick a camera in there?” he asks.
Whoa!!!
How did he lose the eye, you might ask:
“I wanted to shoot a pile of cowshit,” he says.
Really.

For the first time, professional-grade single-lens reflex cameras are gaining the ability to record high-definition video. That capability, photographers say, has the potential to transform both still photography and moviemaking — and it’s largely thanks to advances in the semiconductor technology used to make the image sensors inside these cameras.
From Wired magazine. Interesting.

From August. In the comments, some people point out some of the errors in the article, but nonetheless a good article. The article talks about the development of the Red One, about Peter Jackson shooting Crossing the Line and Steven Soderbergh shooting his Che Guevara biopics with Red One prototypes, and shows some footage shot on the camera. For fun, see if you can find the errors without peeking. And I know, I know, if you don’t have a good story- it doesn’t matter what camera you are shooting on.
11/14/08 Update: Red reveals specs!
